ESG Compliance Officer
We are looking for an enthusiastic ESG professional to help MLE implement the ESG / CSRD Framework throughout Europe, together with our implementation partner and top management.
This position reports to the Vice President HR, Internal Communication & Internal Control.
In your role, you will:
• Coordinate, within MLE Group, the implementation of a sustainability strategy for the entities and subjects in scope of this regulation.
• Help to define and implement the KPI’s for the reporting framework.
• Assist all entities within the MLE Group to set up the documentation requirements that are needed as of FY24.
• Gather, validate, process and report about social sustainability data, for example in quarterly reports and MLE’s Annual Reports.
• Periodically monitor and report on the progress in relevant plans and budgets.
• Be the key person to inform management on progress against targets: you will advise the management on future target setting and ensure that sustainability becomes part of business decisions.
• Contribute to the implementation of non-financial trends and regulations, such as the EU taxonomy and CSDDD, and set-up and improve reporting processes accordingly.
This role will develop itself together with your input. We are looking for someone who is hands-on and likes a challenge. You will work together with many colleagues, in different countries, different roles and different levels in the organization.
Who are we looking for?
• At least 2 years relevant work experience (either in a similar role or as an internal auditor, project manager, financial controller looking for a broader role and a way to contribute to sustainability and social responsibility).
• Knowledge of sustainability reporting requirements or experience with driving social sustainability.
• A bachelor or master’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Passionate about social sustainability topics, such as the environment, safety, health, governance, social value, and human rights.
• Eager and capable to drive business improvements and act as a sparring partner for the business.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
